Listening To Our City at Common Ground Festival 2024
Join Tricky Hat artists for a relaxed, playful workshop exploring creative approaches to sharing stories about the places that are important for you on Saturday 22nd June (2pm – 4pm) at the CCA. We will talk, listen, play games, draw and dance together. It will give you a taste of the creative activities we used in the making of our film, Listening to Our City, being screened at Common Ground Festival. (Ages 16+, free and unticketed).
The Listening to Our City film will be screened at CCA on Saturday 22nd June. The film will be shown on a loop and you are welcome to view it in the cinema at any time. Listening to our City is a project by Tricky Hat, funded by Creative Scotland, in collaboration with New Scots living in Glasgow. The film is made up of stories and memories of places in the city the group members find calming or connected to. The movement in the film was developed and devised with the group and draws on the themes and stories being told. It was filmed in Garnethill Park, round the corner from the CCA.
