The Flames

Our Work | March 12, 2019

The Flames is a performance company for people age 50+ who create high quality, collaborative work. It was founded in 2016 in Glasgow as part of The Luminate Festival.

The Flames work at pace exploring ideas and devising in partnership with Tricky Hat’s artists. The work is created in just five sessions before being performed in front of an audience. Previous events have been inspired by themes such as love, loss, sex, murder and life-changing decisions. The company uses performance, film and specially composed music to explore stories about life after fifty, challenging our perceptions of ageing.

Workshops are free and no previous experience is necessary.

Become a Flame!

We are now recruiting new Flames!

We’ve got an exciting programme lying ahead and would love to take you on board, as a participant or an audience member. Each of our performances are followed by a meet-the artists & performers opportunity around a cup or tea/glass of wine. Please email to register your interest.
